Hawaii News Now — Since 2018, the Hawaiʻi Chamber Music Festival (HCMF) has presented some of the finest classical chamber music concerts with world-renowned artists in of Hawaiʻi. 2025 marks the 5th year anniversary of the tuition-free Young Artist Program.
Hawaiʻi Public Radio — Hawaiʻi Chamber Music Festival president Chris Yick joined Classical Pacific to preview the festival’s seventh season. This year’s theme, Cultural Celebrations, brings communities together through music as part of the Ellen Masaki ʻOhana Series. The nine-day festival opens June 14 with the Junction Trio, preceded by a Q&A at 6 p.m. with Classical Pacific host Sharene Taba.
HILuxury — Hawai‘i Chamber Music Festival is redefining classical music education in Hawai‘i.
Hawaiʻi Public Radio — Virtuoso violinist Yxing Guo of Honolulu graduated last week from the Colburn Music Academy, where she attended the pre-college program during her junior and senior years of high school. This fall, she will return to attend the Colburn Conservatory of Music. A From the Top alum, Guo credits her family, teachers Iggy Jang, Dr. Nikki Ebisu, and Martin Beaver, as well as the supportive communities of the Colburn School, Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony, and the Hawaiʻi Chamber Music Festival Young Artist Program.
HCMF proudly presents its 7th season, the Ellen Masaki Ohana Series, sponsored by Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, from June 14–22, 2025.
San Francisco Conservatory of Music — The student experience includes educational and mentoring opportunities, side-by-side performances with artists like Stefan Jackiw, and of course, a week in Honolulu in June.
